About Us

Eric and Michael Tessin are father and son Certfied Residential Appraisers located in Novato, CA. 

Michael Tessin has been a Marin resident for his entire life, growing up in Kentfield and attending Redwood High School. After a brief stint living in Tahoe, Michael got married to his wife Maggie and moved to Marin City. With children on the horizon, Mike and Maggie settled down in Novato to raise their two children, Angela and Eric. A Certified Residential Appraiser for over 35 years, Michael has a wide breadth of appraisal experience, including Date of Death Reports, Single Family Residential Appraisals, Condominiums, Exterior-Only Appraisals, Lender Appraisals, Appraisal Reviews, and more.

In 2021, Eric decided to enter the family business. A graduate of Sacramento State University, Eric has honed his appraisal skills over the first 2 years of his career with Michael's guidance. In 2023, after over 1500 hours of work experience and hundreds of reports completed, Eric earned his Certified Residential Appraisal license. He has experience with Date of Death Reports, Single Family Residential Appraisals, Condominiums, Exterior-Only Appraisals, Lender Appraisals, and Appraisal Reviews.
